Hajar Afifah binti Zainal is a Shariah law professional with a solid educational background and a wealth of practical experience. In 2020, she proudly graduated from Al-Azhar University, holding a Bachelor of Islamic Sciences & Arabic (Shariah), a testament to her dedication to Islamic jurisprudence.
Building upon her academic achievements, Hajar continued her pursuit of legal expertise by obtaining a Diploma in Law and Administration of Islamic Judiciary (DAIJ) from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2022. This qualification equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and the administration of Islamic law.
Hajar’s journey in the legal profession began with a 9-month training program at the distinguished law firm of Tarmizi Marzuki & Sulaiman. During this period, she served as a Shariah paralegal, gaining invaluable experience and dealing with a wide array of complex Shariah cases. Her responsibilities encompassed cases involving li’an (false accusations of adultery), mutaah (maintenance compensation), the validation of talak (divorce pronouncements), harta sepencarian (joint property), nafkah claims (maintenance of the wife), inheritance (faraid), gifts (hibah), custodianship (hadhanah), divorce petitions, marriage registration applications, and apostasy applications.

Expanding her reach and professional capabilities, Hajar also received her license as a Federal Territories Shariah Lawyer in February 2023, granting her the ability to practice in the Federal Territories, thereby broadening the geographical scope of her legal services.
In August 2023, Hajar Afifah binti Zainal embraced a new opportunity in her career by joining Nurainie Haziqah & Co. as Shariah Counsel, furthering her journey as a Shariah law professional and contributing her expertise to the firm.
